About Perfusion Tools
About Perfusion Tools
Perfusion Tools is a browser-based project that supports day-to-day perfusion workflows with fast, transparent bedside calculations and clear reference guidance.
What this project is
A focused clinical support site for perfusion practice in CPB and ECMO environments. The goal is to reduce calculation friction and provide consistent references during real clinical workflows.
Who it is for
Perfusionists, clinicians, and educational users who need quick, structured bedside calculation support.
Why it was built
To improve speed, reduce repeated manual steps, and support more consistent communication and decision support across perfusion teams.
Design principles
Practical: Fast inputs and outputs for bedside use.
Transparent: Visible formulas and assumptions.
Consistent: Standardized outputs for team alignment.
Clinician-centered: Built around real perfusion workflow needs.
Important limitations
- For trained clinicians and educational-reference use.
- Not a medical device.
- Not a substitute for institutional protocols.
- Not a substitute for clinical judgment or direct patient monitoring.

Privacy Policy
This site is a static calculator that runs in your browser. Calculator inputs and calculated results remain on-device and are not intentionally sent to the server through the calculators.
When you submit calculator feedback, PerfusionTools stores the submitted rating and optional comment. The feedback record also stores limited metadata: page path, calculator key, language, device type, app version, commit SHA when available, and an anonymous browser-generated visitor_id.
The visitor_id is generated in localStorage and is used only for feedback prompt frequency control, duplicate prevention, and lightweight rate limiting. It is not a login identity and should not be treated as a reliable unique-user analytics identifier.
PerfusionTools does not intentionally collect or store patient inputs, calculator inputs, calculated results, hospital names, or IP addresses through the feedback form. Please do not include patient-identifiable information in feedback comments.
Most calculator inputs are not saved. Timecalc Live timer/case data and Transplant case times are stored locally in this browser so they can be restored after refresh. This data is not sent to a server. Use New case / Clear all to remove stored case data.
Local preferences and recently used calculators
PerfusionTools may store limited, non-identifying interface preferences locally in your browser. The recently used feature stores only up to three calculator routes needed to display recent tools; that history remains in this browser and is not transmitted to the PerfusionTools server for this feature. It does not store patient inputs, calculation results, patient identifiers, or free-text clinical information. Remove it with “Clear recent” on the home page or by clearing browser site data. Do not enter patient identifiers into calculators.
Do not enter patient identifiers in calculator labels or notes. Do not store or print screenshots that contain protected health information (PHI) on shared systems.
If you have privacy concerns or wish to report a data issue, please reach out via the contact form below. We will respond promptly with remediation steps.
